Yinchuan to Qingtongxia Highway is a key transportation project of the 12th Five-Year Plan of Ningxia Autonomous Region. It is also a supplement to the national expressway network and an important part of Ningxia trunk highway network. The project in north-south direction, in the most west longitudinal of Autonomous Region highway network planning, also is an important north-south transport corridor along the Yellow Economic zone. Actually the project is a two-way expressway with four lanes. The starting point is 1.17km from Yinchuan-Bayan nur Expressway Huangyangtan Junction to the south, and it is connected to Yinchuan-Bayannur Expressway reserved node. The end point is Qingtongxia Aluminum manufacturer.
