It is the important part of "three vertical and nine horizontal" trunk road network planning in Ningxia, also the most convenient highway to connect Yinchuan city and Xian city. The link line from Ningdong to Qingtongxia is constructed according to the standard of a fully-enclosed four-lane expressway.The Ningdong to Shanghai Temple section is constructed according to the first-level highway standard.
