At 5p.m. on August 21st, mechanical equipment for laying bitumen base course of test section of Yinchuan Xingqing District Kongsi Road Improvement Project is roaring.
The pile number of this test section is K4+900-K5+100 with length200m, width 8m and thickness 6cm. In order to ensure that test section could be successful at a time, project management has done an enormous amount of preparation work such as providing technical instruction for all levels, determining job responsibility and personnel allocation and making thorough plan for each working procedure including raw material mobilization, transportation, laying, compacting and curing of base mixture on site.
During process of laying, 10 transportation vehicles deliver mixture continuously, two paving machine team pave bitumen jointly, one steel roller and 2 vibrating rollers performed combined compaction and 2 sprinkler carried out curing subsequently, which formed integral construction line including transportation, paving, compaction and curing so as to ensure construction work of test section could be completed smoothly.
Under unremitting effort over four hours, construction for bitumen base course of test section has been completed as scheduled. Technician, test and survey personnel have taken multiple groups of samples for various indexes including compactness, levelness, thickness and elevation. Through testing, all technical indexes are in accordance with specification and design requirements.
The successful laying of bitumen base course of test section opened a new chapter for implementing pavement construction smoothly and laid solid foundation for performing subsequent construction as soon as possible.
